In his final epistle, Paul to Timothy writes “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Many Christians, like I am, almost always start off on fire, but because life happens – struggles, disappointments, selfishness, and plain evil – we experience our fire dimming. But see, it doesn’t matter how we start the race, but how we finish it. So, let’s encourage one another to stay the course, fight the good fight, finish the race and keep the faith.
You’ve poured your heart. You’ve cried at your failures. You’ve laughed at your mistakes. You’ve rejoiced in your successes. You’ve overcome the obstacles that tried to stand in your way. Now, it’s time to tell us your story. We want to hear it.
And remember, being a finisher, in this case, does not mean you are on your death bed. Being a finisher means finishing one season of your life and on to the next season. Because truthfully, we can’t really say we’ve finished until this life ends. So, let’s take it one season at a time.
