When things are blurry and foggy,
I turn to the Light.
When the night is long and I am prone to mourn,
I look to the Light.
When I feel unseen, not knowing where I belong,
I lean to the Light.
When the battle is intense and things do not make sense,
I run to the Light.
When adversaries come in like a flood and enemies are all around,
I hide behind the Light.
When it looks like darkness is winning and my own light is dimming,
I will hold on to the Light.
Like my ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,
Such as my heroes and people of old
I’m a pilgrim on a journey, I know where to.
Earth isn’t my home, I am just passing through,
It may look like I’m on wilderness tracks,
But I will rejoice! It means I’m on the right path.
When I don’t understand the works of His hands,
I will trust the goodness of His heart.
He is my pillar of cloud by day and my pillar of fire by night.
The cloud and the fire in front of me, always my shield and light,
Now, I am sure of this – where God leads, He goes ahead.
He is not the light at the end of the tunnel,
He is my Light in the tunnel.
He parted the heavens and came down,
My transgressions for His crown.
He delivered and healed my soul of shame,
By His blood, He washed me clean.
God, my Father. Jesus, my Redeemer. Holy Spirit, my Power.
I shall not fret, falter, or fear.
When He asked me, “Do you trust me?”
I responded, “Yes, Lord, I do.”
He reached out to take my hand;
I held His while looking at His face.
Holding hands, we journey through!
The Lord Jesus Christ, my Forever Light!
