It was Monday and the 201st day of the year. On this day, Benedict Timothy Carlton Cumberbatch and myself was born. He in Hammersmith, England; and I in Bacolod City, Philippines.
According to some birthday ninjas, my birthday numbers reveal that my life path number is 4. This number represents growth, building and foundation.
While I am not sure about birthday ninjas and life path numbers, I am all for growth in life and building a solid foundation. I hope to do just that through this space.
I’d like to call myself an urban hermit who thrives in an intimate community. I’m a perfectionist who dislikes perfectionism; a routine-follower who likes adventure; and a change-resister who’s learning to let go and be flexible.
I spend more time inside my own brain working things out, and then writing it down. My inner flame is kindled by natural beauty and long road trips. While I enjoy the quiet riot and the fertile void, I also like meaningful conversations and joyful ramblings around the table.
A hopeful romantic I giggle at sweet-nothings. I easily fall in love with places, feelings and moments. Tickled with scents of freshly ground coffee beans, books fresh from the press, blank journal pages, and happy mails, I want to flow with life like the tides do with the moon.
I want to be the woman who digs deeper, leans in close and listens long to words heart-spoken; who inspires growth, purpose and hope; encourages truth, honesty and authenticity.
I strongly believe in making meaningful connections rather than acquiring a long contacts list. I am all for collaboration, not competition; contribution, not criticism.
I am a flawed, evangelical (believing in the necessity of salvation in Christ not of good works), Bible-believing (embracing the Bible as God’s infallible and complete message to all people), and grace-clinging born again Christian.
I’m a bit of a mess, but I know that when I am in my absolute weakest, I know that God is the strongest.
Books are my Soulmates.
Coffee is my Lover.
Journals are my Best Friends.
Planners, Organizers and Agendas are my Allies.
Always Thinking. Journaling. Reading. Planning. Caffeinating.
Often INFJ‘ing. ( I take this test every year and the results hasn’t changed in the longest time.)
I’d like to be remembered for my good days. I can only ask to be forgiven for my bad ones.
I read to know that I am not alone. I write to tell others they are not alone.
It would be pure grace to walk a bit – you and I – so I hope you stay awhile.
I’m almost always hanging out on Instagram.
I host a podcast called Rescuing Mondays: Experiencing God in Your Life and in Your Workplace. Go ahead, listen in, subscribe and leave a good review so that others can find their way, too.
I greatly appreciate all your comments, messages, likes and follows. Thank you, sincerely.
